Greetings fellow pen lovers!

At the heart of our story is our humble beginnings. We are an immigrant family that has had its fair share of ups and downs. The idea for Mochi Writes began years ago, whispered between late-night conversations and pondered upon while looking for school supplies ourselves, struggling to find any of quality within our budget.

The journey from vision to reality was far from smooth. Together, we scraped together what we had and danced with doubt. But with a bit of love, determination, and incredible support from our community, we transformed what was once a dream into the modest business it is today.

We were well aware of the challenges we would face when we started—and we're still navigating them today, trying to break even. We even considered closing after our first year, but to keep the store afloat, we continue to work full-time jobs and use our paychecks to restock Mochi Writes. Instead of closing, we chose to embrace the challenge and continue on this wild journey because we believe in our dream! Backing away from the community we've nurtured, from supporting students in their academic pursuits to witnessing the joy on the faces of children who visit us, simply wasn't a choice. We hold firm in our belief that we will persevere!
